Day 01
Arrival - Madras
The Gateway to southern India is one of the
oldest cities of the country. Transfer to Hotel.
Afternoon city tour.
Day 02
Madras / Mahamallapuram
Built in 7th centuray, this ancient pallava port is
today the sight of several antique sculptural
marvels. In this ancient seaside town, shines &
hugesculptures cutout of rocks more than 1200
years back in the reigion can be seen.
Day 03 Madras / Tirupathy
Drive to Tirupathy. This temple town known for
the famous ancient temple of Lord
Venkateshwara (Lord of Seven Hills of Balaji.
Day 04 Tirupathy / Pondicherry
Drive to Tiruvannamalai (112 Kms/ 3 Hrs) ? a
pilgrim center with an ancient temple of Lord
Shiva. Proceed to Pondicherry (113 kms, 3 ½
Hrs) which carries a strong whiff of the French
presence in India.
Day 05 Pondicherry Drive to Aurobindo Ashram, the city of dawn which
is 10 Kms north of Pondicherry.Visit Auroville ? a
unique experiment in international living.
Day 06
Pondicherry/Chidambaram/Thanjavur
Drive to Chidambaram (65 kms/ 1 ½ hrs) also
called as Thilai, which has the famous Nataraja
Temple. Drive to Thanjavur (104 kms/3 Hrs)
enroute visiting the Brass Factory of
Kumbakonam.
Day 07
Thanjavur / Trichy
Drive to Trichy situated on the banks of Kaveri
River is blend of history & traditions as well as a
pilgrim center, famous for Ranganath Temple
Later city tour visiting Rock Fort temle.
Day 08 Trichy / Madurai
Drive to Madurai, the ancient city is laid out
on the banks of the River Vaigai as a lotus flower
with the Meenakshi Temple in the center.
Afternoon city tour visiting ? Meenakshi Temple
& king Ttimuali?s Palace
Day 09
Madurai / Rameshwaram
Proceed for Rameshwaram ? the most sacred
temple town of India is an island hallowed by
the epicRamayana, where Lord Rama is said to
have visited before going into battle at Sri Lanka.
Return to Madurai for overnight stay.
Day 10 Fly Madurai / Bombay Transfer to airport for flight to Bombay. Transfer to
International airport to connect onward flight
